Can't search "See Sellers Items" anymore
I noticed eBay no longer lets me search for specific items in a sellers "See Sellers Items" if they don't have a store.
If they have a store, there is a spot to "search all 400 items"
If they don't have a store, there is no spot to search the sellers items. WHY?
eBay will lose sales because I am not going to go through 400 items looking for what I want.
Is eBay is trying to force their sellers to get a store? This will hurt the seller's sales and cut into eBay's cut.
I could do this search a week ago on a seller's listings, so eBay recently changed this, CHANGE IT BACK.

OP3 years agoWhat eburtonlab said "That can be accomplished by going to the Advanced Search page to search by seller, but that is quite an awkward procedure for the average buyer. This discourages buyers from seeing if a particular seller has other items of interest unless the buyer is willing to actually scroll through the entire list."
If I go to advanced search and search only the specific seller, that does work. Takes a few extra steps.
Now, eBay will probably remove "seller" from advanced search.

OP3 years agoAs of 1/25/23 the feature is back, non-store sellers items can be searched again, how about that.

·3 years agoBut your WORK AROUND doesn't address the topic of this thread, which is being able to search a seller's items if the seller doesn't have a store. Yes, there are many sellers without stores who have hundreds of listings. No, just separating them into categories isn't enough. Please stop assuming that your WORK AROUND in any way, shape, or form helpful in the discussion. We already knew how to find the seller's listings and narrow them by category. The discussion is about eBay removing search ability for seller's listings.

Click on the seller's feedback score. That will bring up a page and, off to the right, will be a link to see other items. I made it a point to use as an example a seller who does NOT have a store.

You've misunderstood the issue. The problem is not seeing a seller's listings. The problem is in the past while viewing those listings you could use the Search bar to search just the listings from that seller. Now you can only search through a seller's listings if they have a store.

·3 years agoNo. If you do what I said you will see ONLY the listings from the seller you have selected. Try it..

The problem is not seeing the listings, it is searching within the listings of just that one seller.
Unless the seller has a store, there is no search field to limit the search to just that seller's listings as there was until recently when the "items for sale" page was redesigned. So, if a buyer finds a seller with a widget the buyer wants to buy, the buyer might want to search through just that seller's listings to find just the other widget-related items, and cannot easily do that at the moment.
That can be accomplished by going to the Advanced Search page to search by seller, but that is quite an awkward procedure for the average buyer. This discourages buyers from seeing if a particular seller has other items of interest unless the buyer is willing to actually scroll through the entire list.

·3 years agoFirst off, remember that I said a WORK AROUND
Again I am using a seller who does NOT have a store. When I click "see other items" I get a page as shown below. It is true you can not search for a SPECIFIC item, but their inventory is sorted by the eBay categories they have their items in. That list is on the left. So if you can surmise what category the item you are looking for should be in you can at least search just that category with out having to search every item. If you click a specific category under these circumstances you will get ONLY listings for this specific seller.
An assumption is made, admittedly without any specifics to back it up, that a seller without a store probably has fewer items in each category so the search should not be that tedious.
Note that for privacy's sake I have blocked out the sellers ID and inventory items
Remember I said WORK AROUND, not absolute solution.

·3 years agoOh, and one more thing:
You can list 200 items to a page. Again most likely more than a non store seller probably has.
When you get to the above page click (ctrl+f) and a search box opens up on your screen. Exactly where will depend on your browser. I use Firefox so it is on the lower left.
Enter your search term there, then click the down arrow just to the right of the box and it will highlight each one turn by turn. Again WORK AROUND not a solution.

·3 years agoWhy? Because eBay wants those sellers to pay for the search bar. So no eBay isn’t losing anything.
Change it back …highly unlikely. Sorry

·3 years agoIs eBay is trying to force their sellers to get a store?
Got it in one. The only reason eBay would have deleted the feature is to force sellers into store subscriptions. And don't hold your breath that they'll change it back. Few of us look good in that shade of blue.
