Can't cancel an order with delivery estimated to be Jan 11, but ordered Nov 12?
I ordered an inexpensive item then notice the delivery date as Jan 11. I need it by Nov 17th. The seller said he can't cancel because it already shipped? From where, Cygnus X-1?

·2 years agoThe moral of this story is that estimated delivery dates are shown on every listing. If time is a factor you should look at them before you purchase, not after.

OP2 years agoYes. Says it was shipped Nov 13. It now says arrives between Dec 7 and Jan 11. I tried to cancel the same day that I ordered. Let me guess, drop shipped from China by slo boat..?

·2 years agoThe last seller to leave you feedback is from China and shipping from there and their listings show the estimated delivery dates, which is about 2 months.

Are you looking in your PUCHASE HISTORY/ORDER details for the estimated delivery date?
If you are viewing the listing, it will reflect delivery estimates based on the day and time you look, and has nothing to do with the information on your order details. For example, if you look tomorrow, those dates will reflect the "new" day that you are looking, even if the listing has already ended.
Was there any notice of an extended delivery time when you made the purchase?

You probably bought from a China based seller who immediately transmits orders to the warehouse they drop ship from. You probably have a domestic tracking number already, that will not update until the item reaches the U.S. and clears customs.
Buying items online within a week of you having to have it can lead to disappointment. When I need something for a B'day or event, I order at least two weeks in advance of the date. I also check the estimated delivery dates shown on ebay listings for the last one.
