I tried to retract my bid but was unable to no matter how I tried. Could not even contact the seller because there was no way to when I clicked on contact seller. Now the time frame has ended and it says finish purchase which I will not do.
If the auction has ended, then your original post from exactly 12 hours ago was put up during the final 12 hours of the auction which is why you were not able to retract your bid.
If the auction ended less than one hour ago, you can make a formal request to cancel the transaction.

If you don't pay for the item you bid on and won you'll receive a nonpayment strike. If you receive two of those within a 12-month period you'll find yourself blocked by a large percentage of sellers. Bids and purchases on eBay are both legally binding. That's a lesson you need to learn pretty quickly if you want to keep using the site.
You are required to have a VALID reason for retracting your bid.
Only the seller can cancel your bid if they choose to do so. On the listing page you can click on "Contact seller" in the Seller Information box. If the seller chooses to not cancel your bid, you will be required to pay for the item if you win.
There are no options that are shown for still ask questions. I appreciate your help very much and I’m following your advice but that option is not shown.

Sometimes if you are on your phone, you won't see all of the same options and format that are available on a computer, so if you're on your phone try a computer and you might be able to contact the seller. Or you can go to the seller's feedback page and use the "Contact member" link.
You can retract a bid IF the auction has more than 12 hours left, so keep an eye on that deadline; don't wait too long to hear from the seller.

·2 years agoIs this an active listing that @bahel39 wants to cancel a bid?
Or is the transaction over and you are no longer interested in paying?

If you click on "Contact seller", you can click on "Still have questions" and send a message to the seller.
As stated, the seller is not obligated to agree to your request to cancel your bid, in which case you will have to PAY for the item if you win.
