I get that. What I was getting at was the OP has already shelled out the $1,500, and as these scammers are known to do, they're coming back for more. Title costs, insurance costs, there will be more and more until the OP realizes they've been had, and gives up. It sounds like the scam has hit that stage to me.
If that's the case, let's hope we can stop him before he goes any further with this.

You do NOT EVER get charged by a 'seller' (unless they are a.) in your state b.) a 'dealership'; in which they will collect DMV Transfer fees (title/registration) and Taxes (some states).
Bottom Line- there are ALWAYS extra fees to buying ANY type of Vehicle- RV, Car, Truck, Boat, Bus, Motorcycle.... and with Private Party Sales- MOST of those fees YOU pay directly at the DMV when you "transfer" the vehicle in your name.
I hope we haven't lost you. Read your replies here before dealing with a scammer on another site! 😓

eBay does no more than offer a seller a place to advertise their vehicle for sale ... similar to what a newspaper once did. eBay does NOT verify that anything the seller promises is true.
You should assume that you'll have MORE to pay in order to drive the car home ... assuming there even is a car for sale. I also suspect that you might be dealing with a scammer whose only purpose is to steal your money.
HOW are you being asked to payfor the cycle? Usually scammers demand that you pay in a way that you cannot reclaim your money once you discover you've been scammed.
Buying a vehicle on eBay is no different than buying a vehicle anywhere else. You'll have to pay tax, fees, and insurance on top of the sale price. And like every other used vehicle sale, in the absence of a written warranty the sale is 'as is', meaning you're a fool if you hand over money without inspecting the vehicle.

This really smells of a scam. eBay does not handle the titling of vehicles, that is between the seller and buyer only.

Curious on what year and make of bike you are seeing for $1500.00....Is it a really good deal? The too good to be true is ringing in my head about this...Don't do it!

·1 year agoBuying a motorcycle should be pick-up only...just like buying a car for pick-up only.
You pay for the bike and title should be handled over to you then.
Extras will come out of your pocket.
Owner keeps his license plate...which you don't want on the bike.
No title for pick-up with bike....walk-away.
Would I pay cash without seeing bike or doing a ride-test...no.
Check tires to see if you need new ones.
Does bike start quickly or does it need a new-battery?
This is why you need to see what you buy before sending any money.

ebay just facilitates the sale, you pay the fees when you register with your state
