Buying a car from marketp shell send on ebay
I found the car marketplace for very cheap and very nice I'll send $600 through ebay and they'll hold onto it and I'll get the car in 3 days I'll get to keep the car 5 days for test drive If I like it then ebay release the funds to the seller. What do you think

Please come back to tell us that you came here first BEFORE "buying" the car. Let us know that you were helped in preventing the scammer from stealing your money.

You've just joined ebay yesterday, no doubt to help facilitate this 'great deal'. UGH! If you've already paid in gift cards, your money, the seller, and the car have all vanished in a puff of smoke. The car never existed.
As everyone else has posted, if the listing didn't originate on ebay, it has nothing to do with ebay.
This is a tried and true scam that's brought a long line of victims to these forums since forever.

You found this ad on Facebook Marketplace, and not eBay.
It's a scam!
If you sent them $$$ or gift card numbers, that is gone forever, and eBay can't help you.
If it was such a "great deal," don't you think it would have been smarter for the "seller" just to take the "car" to a used car lot to sell it, maybe selling it for a higher price than they could get online?!?
Don't fall for used vehicle scams on Facebook Marketplace or Craig's List.

There is no car, there is no ebay holding facility, ebay does not store or ship anything, and there is no 5 day trial period.
What there is, is one of the oldest internet scams on the books. Hopefully, you haven't bought ebay gift cards and gave the codes to the scammer.

·1 year agoTotal SCAM. That is a LIAR and THIEF out to steal your money. eBay auto sales do NOT work like that.
Ebay never assists in sales or payments of items on other sites. It must be listed on eBay to be an eBay sale.
They are just using the eBay name to steal money.
