Buyer in UK can't purchase US item to be sent to friend in US?
I have a lovely UK buyer who wants to purchase a set of little cars I have for a friend and have it sent to his friend in NYC. I live in Vermont, USA and told him that he should be able to change the shipping address in purchase. When he went to purchase, it said that he's not allowed to choose a US address from his account. I don't have any selling restrictions in terms of countries so it's not that. Is there anything else I can have him check?

OP10 months agoTotally forgot I posted about this. He was aware that I wasn't able to change it after he purchased it, so he was trying to change it during purchase and it wouldn't let him.
After some poking around, he found he was able to send it to a mutual friend in Florida...for whatever reason, it wasn't allowing him to pick NYC. Who knows - technology or maybe user error but it's all ok now. Thanks!

·10 months agoThe UK is blocking a lot of toys from being imported, so they probably wouldn't make it through customs.

The UK buyer wants it shipped as a gift in the US, where the product is being sold. There would be no customs involved.
eBay allows international buyers from all over the globe to choose a US address. An example, would be shipping to a Freight Forwarder, or relative in the US. Perhaps eBay's AI is getting in the way here and @retrorescueandgifts 's buyer needs to contact CS in the UK. The toys are not going to the UK. Hopefully, they have better CS than we do here in the US.

·10 months agoYour buyer will need to change the shipping address when he orders. If you change the address on the order, you lose seller protections on that order
