buyer complaints not actually being investigated before being dismissed- eBay getting a bad rep.
eBay is getting a bad reputation from buyer complaints not actually getting investigated. Buyers are complaining about sellers who are violating eBay rules and immediately getting a response that dismisses their claims. This is obvious that the complaint was never actually investigated. There seems to be a glitch in the programming that has been set to by pass any human involvement and automatically dismisses any claim against any seller. This allows sellers to continue violating rules without any consequence. It also allows sellers to use eBay to break US laws, making eBay a platform for criminal activity. This glitch should be fixed.
Buyers do communicate with each other on and off of this platform. This is why there are more on line auction sites being created all the time. Many people are seeking alternatives where they can get some kind of regress if problems occur. I have been a customer on eBay for decades. This site is my preferred place to do business. Please correct the problem and return to being the auction site that buyers can depend on and trust. Don't let a small problem ruin your reputation.

·5 months agoAbsolutely agreed. Anyone with anything more than a limited buying or selling history will understand what you mean.
I’m sure that someone will come along to tell you that these boards aren’t staffed by eBay agents, but that is just to distract from your message. Heck, we’ve even had eBay confirm that this particular board is monitored by eBay employees. This has been explained time and time again.

·5 months ago1. Have never ever head of eBay "investigating" any individual problem. Of course, as I am often reminded, I no longer sell here.
2. The tone of your message makes it appear that you believe you're actually addressing eBay. These Boards are "staffed" if you will by fellow eBay buyers and sellers who volunteer their time to help others if/when they can. Of course, that means that we cannot "correct the problem".
3.eBay pretty much bends over backwards to help buyers over sellers. One thing is the MBG which offers very good protection.
4. Given the above, what "criminal activity" is taking place here? And is this activity unable to be resolved by a buyer using the Money Back Guarantee.

·5 months agoI agree 100%. Sellers on eBay community dismissing my claims that eBay should bring back WANT IT NOW as there are facts it would help everyone involved

·5 months agoThe Want It Now board turned into a complete mess, overrun with excessive and misused business ads instead of genuine want-it-now posts.
If I posted a "want it now" ad, I’d get flooded with junk replies from everyone and their friends.
It ended up being so useless.

·5 months agoYea, just what I don't want as a buyer. Advertise that I want an item. As a buyer I'd rather the seller think I am ambivalent or on the fence. I want a seller to think I could care less either way not "chomping at the bit".
May as well say "Charge me what you want".
Patience is the key (at least for me). I set up a saved search and wait until the right price comes along.......

I believe every platform has bad actors. As far as buyers getting some kind of regress...eBay has excellent buyer protection, better than most.
If a seller violated eBay rules it's easy to get your money back (at least for me). All one has to do is become familiar with The Money Back Guarantee-->https://www.ebay.com/ebay-money-back-guarantee/ that's on every listing.
If it's complaints that don't involve a refund then maybe those buyers might quit trying to play internet police and spend their time in a more fruitful manner...................
