·5 months agoHaving spent thousands here, it's a little surprising that you don't know about the Money Back Guarantee for buyers.
You have 30 days to open an item not as described case with eBay. Go to your Purchase History, find the item in question, click on "want to return", your reason will be: Not As Described.

If it is less an 30 days since you received the package, you can file a return claim. Be absolutely sure when you file the claim that you use "item not as described" as the reason. DO NOT use "item not received" because tracking shows a package was received and you will lose. The seller will have to send you a label for the return of the "item". In this case, send him back the same thing he sent you, the empty box. When he receives your package back, he will have to issue you a refund. If he does not, in a couple of days you can ask eBay to step in and they will force him to refund you.
BTW, eBay doesn't care how long you have been on here or how many thousands of dollars you have spent. Buyers cannot receive negatives, so ALL buyers have perfect ratings. eBay has a Money Back Guarantee to cover buyers who find themselves in situations such as this or if they receive something that isn't as it should be. It might not hurt to familiarize yourself with the MBG in case another problem comes up in the future.

~ Many buyers open with that, but those purchases were your choice for your benefit.
"I have perfect feedback"
~ That's always mentioned next. Many buyers don't know that all buyers DO have 100% feedback ALWAYS, even after years of ebay experience.
The fact that you don't know of the bullet-proof buyer's guarantee after these years of loyal patronage is baffling.
It's on the top-right of every listing.

This is what happens when you try to save a few bucks and buy lower cost auto parts from China based sellers. To learn how to avoid this problem in the future open the link below, then click on Go To Best Answer.

·5 months agoBuyers can only have 100% positive feedback, because buyers cannot be given anything other than positive feedback. That does not change the process when you run into a problem, and you sending a video to eBay is a waste of your time.
Just open a return request for item not as described or missing parts, and get your money back. That also goes on the sellers record.

Adding to @jonathanbrightlight 's advice, I'll say that you should save the package you received because if the seller sends a return shipping label, you need to have the envelope to return.

In every single listing there's a link to eBay's Money Back Guarantee. It explains the procedures to open a 'missing parts or pieces' return. You need to read and follow them. Sending eBay a Ring video is useless. They don't accept video evidence, as it can be faked too easily.
