Bring back listing times!
How is this new "Listed X time ago" system supposed to help? lt doesn't help me. I can't see how it would.
It came, then went back then came again. It makes tracking and bidding difficult to keep track of.

I can't see why it would be important, but anyway... What about if your time is several zones away? You don't know if the displayed time is the local time where the item exists, or if eBay has translated it to your own time zone, or if eBay is referencing its own time zone, namely that of San José, California.

OP1 week agoTime zones are irrelevant. So long as the listings are consistent, that is what matters.

·1 week agoIt doesn't bother me all that much. Most of my searches are saved searches that I go through with my morning coffee every morning.
If I see something I want to bid on I add it to my watchlist and when it nears time to bid late in the game it's near the top of the list. I put in my max bid and move on.
If I won it's in my purchase history later and if I lost, I didn't want to spend more than my max bid anyway.................

OP1 week agoNot good enough. The date and time are important to buyers. This is not an improvement in any way whatsoever.

·1 week ago · Edited@torr2862eyu Important to some buyers, to be more nearly exact. They're not important to me. I'm a buyer with more than 1600 purchases, and the date and time an item was listed has always been irrelevant to me, except perhaps insomuch as it could be the only way to determine when the listing will end.

OP1 week agoMaybe not important to you, but clearly important to me and to many others. Regardless, how is this change an improvement to the eBay system?
