Bought item, status says "lablel created" and Fedex has not received item for 6 days
Hi,
I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar situation to this: I bought an item on 4/4 and on 4/7 the status changed to "Shipped" with a Fedex tracking number. When I track it on the Fedex site it only says "Label Created" and it is not at a status of "WE HAVE YOUR PACKAGE". So it looks like the seller only created the label and has been sitting on it for 6 days. I have sent two messages to the seller trying to find more info but no response so they are not being helpful at all. The estimated deliver date was supposed to be Thursday 4/11 but we're past that date. Has anyone seen a case where the item was actually with the shipper but the status was still "Label Created"? I can't tell if the item was received by Fedex but there is a problem with the shipping or if the seller never delivered it to Fedex. Thanks.

·2 years agoI stand by everything I said, give it a few more days. OPs est delivery date was 4/11. I've had FedEx take 2 weeks to deliver in Washington State from California. Other tracked items that don't update until delivered, and sometimes not even then. Outliers, but it happens. It's Sunday. No good derives from an instantaneous INR today. But OP can do it if he wishes.

·2 years agoMore questionable advice on this community forum (file INR now). What a hassle. It's the weekend for Pete's sake. I say give it a couple more days at least. That item might have been shipped and was just not scanned. It happens all the time, notwithstanding the "really good" remark about Fed Ex. All of these shippers are not perfect with tracking.

·2 years agoI wouldn't be as apt to argue if there was some type of movement in the tracking. But with no movement, 2 days post estimated delivery and no response from the seller, I have no issue with the OP opening a case.

·2 years agoquestionable advice?
This buyer tried 2 times to contact the seller (no response)
he bought his item 10 days ago (7 business days)
FedX RARELY does not scan a shipment along it's journey.....
Sometimes they miss a distribution point scan, but RARELY an acceptance scan or a point-to-point scan.
An INR will get the seller's attention...
I would have not advised the way I did had the seller replied to the buyer...
10 to 1 the seller replies he "dropped it off at Staples" last Monday
(agreed I did not see the listing) so there may be a 7 day handling time, but the OP said otherwise...and if there was a 7-day handling time, the INR option would NOT be available in the option box.

OP2 years agoThanks for the answers, that's very helpful. I'm going to file the INR with ebay then since it is past the delivery date.

·2 years agogood choice....many times, delays like this are the result of 'seller remorse'
you have been VERY patient......
don't let the seller lead you on past 30 days....if they don't want to ship, you can't force them to

OP2 years agoJust a follow up to my original post, the seller responded eventually and said Fedex wasn't able to ship the item because it has a lithium battery. So I asked them to please refund the payment I made and they have never responded since then despite multiple attempts to contact them and nothing was refunded. The strange thing is their original listing said there were four of the item already sold so you would think they would have run into this shipping issue before and not re-listed the item. Makes me very suspicious they are doing some sort of scam. I opened a case with customer support, hopefully I can get my money back since it was expensive. There is supposed to be some sort of ebay guarantee if if you don't receive your item so hopefully that will come through.

OP2 years agoSounds good, appreciate the advice.

·2 years agoScam. Of course FedEx and others ship items with lithium batteries. How did you think they were distributed, carrier pigeon? Get your money back

·2 years agoFed Ex is really good about updating notifications...I get a lot of Fed Ex packages.
Shipping is rather good with them. I wouldn't use it because it seems a little pricy.
If you have nothing other than"shipped" and "created label"....I am going out on a limb and say
nothing is coming.
"Estimated date of delivery" one day after open claim for "item not received".

·2 years agoIf it is "past" the due date of delivery, file an INR (Item Not Received) with ebay (from your purchase history)
That should get the seller off their high horse for you.....
(if that option is not yet available you need to wait it out until it is)
