Bought expensive PC, shipped to wrong house, seller not responding??
I bought a very expensive item from a trusted seller. He ships within one business day and sends me the shipping information as usual. I look at the tracking on the day it’s supposed to come and I see “refused†when it never came??? This was USPS and their support is also horrible, so they “ship back†the package but it’s been on “Alert there’s been an inconvenience†since January 8th and it’s been 5 business days. I don’t know if Ebay will refund this and i don’t know what to do, help?

·6 months agoWhat do you mean by "trusted" seller? How did you determine that he was trustworthy? Your description of events could indicate a variation of the fake tracking scam.

·6 months agoIt’s a scam. The seller intentionally sends the item to a wrong address, but the zip code matches yours. This way, they can claim that the eBay package has been delivered, even though the item they shipped wasn’t actually a computer!

·8 months ago@jarhalli68 Have you verified that you entered the correct address when you placed your order? Not too long ago I had a buyer forget change her address in eBay and her order went to her old address, where it was refused. Make sure you check to see that you provided the correct address.
Did it have signature confirmation?
If the package is going back to the seller, it can take several weeks. Refused packages are not a priority for USPS. They go on the truck behind everything else.
I don't know what you mean by "Alert there’s been an inconvenience." I've never seen that on an official USPS tracking number. I do know there have been text message scams that use language along those lines. The message comes from someone pretending to be from USPS. They claim there was a misdelivery with your package and it was refused, then ask you to fix the address and usually ask for money to do so. I've not seen anybody talk about that scam as it relates to eBay, but I've personally received a couple of messages like that and I know a few non-ebayers who have.

OP8 months agoBoth of these alerts are on the official USPS tracking of the order, and even shows up in the ebay history. The address was for sure the correct one because I double even triple checked. The refused package is almost next to where the seller originally shipped it out and it said it was supposed to be a 1 day delay.. this could all be solved if the seller responds but he doesn’t but he responds to my friend which is sketchy and i don’t know what to do. I also don’t know if it has signature confirmation because the total order was 675 dollars.
