OP5 months agoI just did a random search on toasters / best offers, still wont allow me to do my own offer. it only allows me to do ebay suggested offer. I then forwarded it to my friend to see if its the same deal ,and his offer ebay suggested offer was a dollar lower than mine allowed.

·5 months agoDid you try clicking on it? I haven't tested this myself yet either, just wondering if you'd tried. My understanding is that the wording on the button is misleading, and that if you click it it should let you then enter a different offer amount, but I'm not certain.

OP5 months agoI have an action that I can buy it now for 6.99 or make best offer, it wont allow me to make my own offer, but ebay suggest I offer 7 dollars. I know it only a penny, but why are all my actions like this now? I want to make my own offer. its like a new feature on my ebay pages. i never seen this in all my years. See picture attached.

That is a Buy It Now fixed price listing and I have never run across an offer suggestion that was for more than the fixed asking price before. Despite the suggestion, you should be able to make your own offer by clicking on the Offer button. If you have access to a computer try logging into ebay, opening the listing and seeing if that suggestion is there as well.

·5 months agoIt probably would be best if you did your own research as to pricing and ignore ebay's "suggestions". I find those suggestion are totally off base at least half of the time.

On a But It Now (BIN) listing with a Best Offer button the "suggestions" from ebay will always be less than the BIN price, otherwise what would be the point of sending a best offer?
Some auctions do have a Best offer button in them, and the suggestions will have a price that is higher than the current bid price. So the offer would be for more than the current bid price but less than the maximum you would be willing to pay for the item.
