Be careful when purchasing from overseas to the US with Tariffs.
I just got through this, I had bought a $75.00 item and it wound up going through UPS international. The Tariff notice arrived through the UPS portal- $200.00 not including the initial $75.00. Brokerage charges, surcharges and the tariffs, every kind of worst case scenario charge including the "Dumping" provision which covers what CPB considers under valued items from china- mine came from Canada btw.. I'm looking into filing a protest form 19 to CPB. But be aware it comes from the company delivering and you don't pay to the people you were buying from(Re: Ebays notice of tariffs due and you as the buyers responsibility). I guess I'm not doing any shopping from overseas vendors any more till this is cleared and settled.

·5 months agoA lot of people on this thread suggest shopping and selling only within the walls of the US. That is not sustainable for a small business.

As by design. Purchase from USA sellers.

·5 months agoWell to be fair Ebay and the carriers have given proper warning about this. So yes buyers are aware of this. When you make a purchase there is a banner who highlights that tariffs will be charged for this transaction. Correct I would recommend to avoid international shopping all together.

·5 months agoI did this long before there were tariffs. USA Sellers ONLY. Though I do like purchasing from a seller in Ukraine as I do not see any surcharges/tariffs whatsoever.

·5 months agoYes, tariffs have been a thing for quite some time now. Unless you have been living under a rock, you should be well aware of the current administration's foreign policy. SCOTUS has declared the tariffs illegal but that isn't stopping the government at all. Proceed with caution.
