bait and switch

Entered a bid for a item from a seller for $116 seller was located in US is reason I made the bid to this seller. Item was cheaper from outside US with longer delivery time. Awoke to notice that my account had been charged for the $116+ tax. Upon checking the US seller had made a counter offer of $132 and another seller had sold me the item for the price of my bid. WHATS GOING ON HERE? Something is not right! I am shocked EBAY allows this. It may be the same item. It may be an authentic item but I want no part of this SCAM. Anyone have any idea how to report both sellers to EBAY. I suspect they are one and the same.

Send the seller that has the item you wanted and bought a message about how they are trying to bamboozle you when you placed an order with them and see if they respond from the other account.

That also seems like a good way to scare an honest seller into cancelling the order out of fear of dealing with an unhinged buyer.

I hope you are not confusing sending Offers with placing a Bid. You can only Bid on auctions and a seller cannot counter offer a BID.

If you sent offers on two different items, before receiving an Accepted/Declined or Timed out notice, from one or both of the sellers, you opened your self up to be responsible for paying for both items if they were accepted. Most sellers have auto pay set up and you should have seen a note when making an offer or bid saying your payment method would be charged if an offer was accepted, or you won an auction.

The 132.00 "counter-offer" is another transaction that you can accept or not.

When you placed your bid you were asked to provide a method of payment and that method of payment will be charged should you win the auction. Apparently you won the auction. You also made an offer for the same item from another seller?
Sounds like you placed bids and made offers for the same item from different sellers. Or the seller of the auction also had the same item as a buy it now and you sent an offer on it which is why the seller counter offered.

Nothing wrong with either scenario you already paid for the item through auction you can ignore or decline the counter offer.
