Bad Sellers Keep Getting New Accounts to Continue
One of the worst negatives about eBay is the fact that they allow bad sellers to continue to come back under different IDs. There was one seller in particular that I can personally attest to that was selling vintage Apple computers under one ID who proceeded to post, in feedback, (1) racial slurs (2) homophobic slurs & (3) the actual name & address of someone who got onto his s**t list. I reported this seller repeatedly to eBay and eventually (after 2+ months) eBay got around to kicking him off eBay. He turned right around and got a new account - but used the same email address & PayPal account information - and continued on his merry way until he was again booted by eBay. Now I see him back this past month under yet another new ID.
Why does eBay allow this? There is absolutely no good reason to allow such offenders. When someone registers a new account, why doesn't eBay check against their vast user database for the same name, email address, PayPal account, postal address & phone numbers? And now with eBay's so-called Managed Payments, you'll have banking information to database and check against.
eBay claims they do all that they can to ensure a safe & secure platform, but they don't. Period. To allow bad sellers to continue when it would be easy to filter out a majority of those repeat offenders. eBay has managed to secure for themselves a reputation of being a platform for cheap junk from questionable sellers.

·2 years agoAmen brother i think i might be done with this platform at the very least minimizing the risk of buying for leisure or ease of use I really don’t like Amazon at at this point I’m ready to get prime lol I just got two tool sets from two different sellers in one specific location in India one town. I don’t know what it’s called never heard of it same location I know it it’s the same person same product tool sets cheapest price and yeah, I said it was shipped in two days to Denver, Colorado lol and eBay won’t even get involved for two days. OK that’s cool and I tried to cancel the other order before it. It is allegedly delivered and they won’t even let me do that but it hasn’t even been shipped so they have my money they have this product allegedly and they haven’t even shipped it and I can’t cancel that order because I know they’re gonna do the same **bleep** I’m gonna get robbed it’s disgusting. I’m done doing this. I work too hard hard for my money. I’ll just get my tools off of tool truck
