Bad sellers.
I have had pretty good luck buying on ebay until recently. The last 3 items I have bought 2 were defective and the 3rd I never received. It looks like all of the items were bought through Chinese alibaba and then distributed to lots of their little distributors on Ebay. They have done everything possible not to give me a refund and ebay is not much help. Until they can do better on the people they are allowing to sell I am through buying here.

·5 days agoYou have been on eBay for many years and are also a seller so you should be familiar with eBay's Money Back Guarantee. If you are receiving items that are "not as described", are you filing a "return this item" through eBay?

eBay has more than 18 million sellers selling billions of items so they cannot know which sellers are legitimate or if they are selling legitimate items. It is up to a buyer to vet a seller they wish to buy from, i.e. check their feedback, see where they are shipping from (although this can be deceiving as some sellers are not honest about where they are shipping from). Then, if you do buy something that is not as expected or not received, you can use the MBG to get a refund.

China based sellers do not go through Alibaba to buy and have items shipped. They can use the many Chicom Govt. owned warehouses in the U.S. to drop ship from. They can avoid having their items not showing up if you use the United States only filter. Some of the sellers are registered in the U.S. making it hard to weed them out. You have been buying on ebay long enough that you should know by now how ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG) works and the time frames for using it. Those sellers may try to stall you past the time to use the MBG or to trick you into closing a dispute, but if you had read the MBG terms you should know not to do that.
