made offer on vehicle and it was accepted.
Buyer changed mind on price that he accepted. Says "I'm good" and backs out.
Now my purchased items menu has a car that says "Awaiting payment"
My understanding is, if I request cancellation it puts a bad mark on my user account and sellers can
(and have) refused to sell to me because of it. I was fortunate to have had that removed in the past as I did not request it. Seller lied.
So...... how do I get this removed from my items purchased list without dinging myself?

If you just don't want to look at it, hide that transaction. It will eventually drop off

There are absolutely no kinds of 'bad marks' on either buyer or seller when a vehicle transaction doesn't go through. Sales in eBay Motors aren't binding on either party, so either side can walk away with no ramifications.

·1 year agoYou're only 'dinged' when you cancel an order as Out of Stock/Item no longer available. Using 'Buyer requested' is fine.

As far as I know, unlike other categories on this site, ebay vehicle transactions are not binding on either party.

So are you the buyer or the seller? Or did you mean to say Seller here?
And with auto sales, not sure if that would ding you or not. They are done differently, but I'm not fluent in them myself. Perhaps someone else will have a better opinion.
But you can probably request to cancel and they (if they are the seller) can agree and you can move on.
