Auto Pay ?
When did Auto Pay start & is it an option determined by the seller at the time they list their auction ? I haven't sold anything in a while, is it now an E-Bay requirement ? Thanks for your time

Auto pay started in 2023, was cancelled for 6 months in early 2024, then in mid June, 2024 ebay opted sellers back into it again. When you follow the instructions ebooksdiva gave you make sure to uncheck the box requiring buyers to provide a payment method before bidding or making offers.

I don't recall the exact date when sellers could require a buyer to provide a method of payment when placing a bid or making an offer. It's been a while.
You can go into your buyer management page to turn that option on. It is optional.

Actually, every ID was auto-enrolled by eBay with the default set to YES/ON. Sellers were never given an option to sign up, eBay did it form them without notice. A seller can still go turn them off if you are a seller and have figured out what they actually do.
I never said anything about signing up.
I was never "auto enrolled" if I wanted to use that option I just tick the box next to it. There's no Yes /On. Just a box.
