Aquiline -- how to apply for a refund? Their website is useless.
eBay shows package delivered yesterday, yet package in nowhere on my property, and my neighbors have no packages of mine. When you pull up to my house the front corner has my garage entry door with big reflective letters on the door: "Deliveries #### name-of-road." So, any idiot can deliver here (in theory).
Aquiline website is useless for contacting that firm, or filing a claim. Comments?
UPS misdelivered a package this package this past Tuesday (summer vacation subs driving maybe?). I wasted almost two hours trying to get UPS to resolve that issue as the materials they emailed lacked details needed for completing the claim forms I need to send.
I thought buying online was supposed to save time. When did that end? Maybe when millennials started getting management jobs? [heavy sigh]
Also, I love how when I try to resolve a misdelivered package issue with eBay they send a message to the seller. Why does eBay still do that? What is the seller supposed to do? Will someone at eBay please rethink that messed up process? eBay has been doing this forever, and just doesn't get flowcharting a simple process.
Hello McFly at eBay: if a package did not arrive, and the seller has tracking that proves it did, then you don't contact the seller!
Please don't post idiotic replies. I don't need that!

Your last response to @kathiec , is not correct. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a service that allows sellers on ebay and other sites, to store their items with Amazon and have them do the logistics when an order is placed on ebay and other sites. Some of those sellers also sell on Amazon. The following ink explains it.
https://sell.amazon.com/fulfillment-by-amazon
Aquiline solved the problem of Amazon's tracking numbers not working with ebay's tracking, when FBA is used. Aquiline is an officially approved carrier by eBay, The following is what sellers are told about the service. "Aquiline will convert your Amazon tracking numbers to their own tracking which are accepted by eBay. Aquiline is an authorized and recognizable carrier on eBay. Meaning, you can choose them from eBay's dropdown menu list of carriers".
This is just conjecture on my part, but your seller may have used fake tracking, something was shipped using Aquiline that converted Amazon's UPS tracking, to one readable by ebay. It may not have been addressed to you. They may have changed the address on the Aquiline form.
"I wasted almost two hours trying to get UPS to resolve that issue as the materials they emailed lacked details needed for completing the claim forms I need to send... ".
One of the reasons why the fake tracking scams are so popular, is that the scammers know that the 3rd party online shopping sites are not allowed to get any information other than what tracking scans show, because of carriers privacy policies. This also applies to buyers who contact carriers by phone or online, they have no way of proving that you are who you say you are, so they will not give you the info you need, to win an ebay dispute for Item Not Received.
To get the info you need to win an INR claim, you have to do some leg work.
You will have to go to your P.O. or a local UPS, - FedEx store. You need to bring a copy of your order details page which shows your address and the tracking number with you. If you bought using a phone or tablet, you can bring that to show the clerk the order details which has the tracking number on it.
You want to ask the clerk to check the label address against the one on the Details page, and also to check the Package type/size weight info to see if was is appropriate for what you should have received. If the info does not match up, you ask the clerk to write a note on Company stationary saying in general that the shipping label's address was not yours, and if applicable that the package type/size/weight was not right for what you should have received. Do not ask for specific address or package info, they cannot give it out. Have the clerk sign and date the note.
If you try to use ebay's Money Back Guarantee automated INR system, their computers will search the tracking for a Delivered scan, if it sees one the dispute is denied on that basis. However, in the message saying that there should be an Appeal button. When you use that you can add a Clear photo or a scan to it of the note you have. It will get the claim accepted, but unfortunately it can take up to a week to go through the ebay MBG Dispute process.
A quicker option is to contact ebay through their Facebook or Twitter social media pages. (links below) On those pages, you can write out what happened and what you found out, and add a CLEAR photo or a scan of the note to an appeal or message.
If you go the social media route which is recommended, because the reps know about the fake tracking scams you will need to have the seller's username and the ebay item number. At the end of your message give them your real and ebay username. They usually can review the info and authorize the refund within a couple of days.

In the future I strongly suggest that you check the feedback profile pages of each seller you intend to buy from, before bidding on or buying their items. On the profile page if the seller has received neutral or negative feedback, click on the numbers of them to read only those comments. Never go by a feedback percentage alone. A seller who uses the FBA shipping will usually have non positive feedback from buyers who do not like Amazon, saying items were shipped from Amazon.

·3 years agoHow long should you wait to contact them on FB or Twitter? My item was listed as it would be here by the 21st and I am getting the nonsense Aquiline tracking. From this post I am getting that they will wait until I file an INR and then the bogus tracking will say that the item was delivered, then my claim will get denied?

·3 years agoIf tracking shows delivered, you do not get a refund. Imagine if that was the policy. There would be no sellers at all. Refunds come out of seller's pockets, not EBay's. If your package was stolen off your porch, this is not the seller's fault. Why would they be responsible for theft?
There are many sellers here on eBay who have selling accounts on both Amazon and eBay. Some do it because amazon has a warehouse for their goods and will ship when they place the order. EBay does not offer this service. This is allowed and not a violation of any rules.

·2 years agoYeah, well I get my packages delivered to an office that has been reliable for years. Amazon is notorious for bad delivery. If someone is using Amazon to deliver something you order from eBay, they should have to say so.
No way anything got "stolen off my porch" as my shipping address is an office with post boxes. And this Aqualine mess adds a whole new level of debacle to Amazon shipping. They ship nothing and yet provide a tracking number. When you look at the **bleep**' thing it only has dates on it, no location. This should not be allowed.
Everyone who has anything to say here in the eBay community about this Aqualine tracking number mess, they're all saying Nothing was delivered, and What is Aqualine, and This is a gdamn scam. So while obviously a legitimate seller who provides an actual tracking number from something like USPS or UPS or FedEx should be able to count that as proof of delivery, Amazon and this Aqualine train-wreck are evidently an entirety different matter.
The Amazon driver is over-scheduled and underpaid and has every incentive to lie and claim to have delivered a bunch of items that no one has received. People actually buying from Amazon who can access tracking info report pictures of things that look nothing like their houses as the supposed proof of delivery. A lot of people don't shop with Amazon because they don't like pandemic profiteering, abuse of employees, etc etc. And when I shop on eBay, if Amazon is involved, the fact should be clearly stated in advance, so people who don't want the bother can avoid it.
As to Aqualine, their supposed tracking info is preposterous. It shows times only, no locations. Delivered? The heck. No town, no zip code. Nothing but delivered. Ludicrous.

·3 years agoAquiline is not a carrier per se. It's a logistics solution that converts tracking into an eBay accepted format. Its most common use is providing eBay recognized tracking for packages delivered by Amazon when sellers use the Fulfilled by Amazon program. Here's a good article explaining it:
https://easync.io/articles/aquiline-converting-and-share-tracking/
What seems to be missing from the multitude of articles on Aquiline is instructions on how to deal with delivery issues. So a credit card chargeback may indeed be your best bet.
As for eBay contacting the seller when there's a delivery issue, what else do you think eBay can do in the situation?
elma_ny
OP3 years agoContact the carrier, what else? Why do I have to deal with UPS, et al? That's what the steep fees pay for, right? The seller can't do anything for crying out loud.
So, the seller merely took my order, and placed an order with Amazon for the item? That's pathetic. I buy on Amazon a lot, but when I want to buy something and have it packaged properly, I buy on eBay BECAUSE EBAY SELLERS KNOW HOW TO PACKAGE PROPERLY. If I want to buy something, and have it crushed in transit, and delivered by the idiots who drive for Amazon, I'd buy directly from Amazon.
So, it looks like Amazon delivered this. That fits because here in Western NY the subcontractor who delivers for Amazon is worthless, and their drivers can't even read. That explains why the package is missing because some idiot driving an Amazon van brought it here. I should've known!
Why do sellers merely take orders and then place that order with Amazon? Again, that's pathetic!!!!

·3 years agoArbitrage and crying out loud aside, if ever it was appropriate for eBay to ask the seller about the delivery issue, this is it
-- In their role as the buyer on Amazon, your seller is the only one, not eBay, not you, with access to the Amazon delivery, even any delivery photo.
Indeed.

·3 years agoWhat the sellers are doing is not just placing an order with Amazon. They're part of the Fulfilled by Amazon program. With this program sellers source their own goods from any number of sources and warehouse them at Amazon facilities. Then Amazon provides the logistics of picking, packing, and delivering those orders. It's a form of dropshipping and is completely eBay legal. There are many articles about the program online. I suggest a quick Google search might prove educational.

BULL! If that were true, the sellers would be honest and upfront about it in such listings and they never are! This is one of many pathetic sellers on eBay who is a Prime member who makes money by taking an order on eBay, and then sending the info to Amazon. I've had to deal with several of these greedy sellers over the past 2-3 years. They have low feedback scores, so they're not major sellers partnering with Amazon or any other such **bleep**. Wake up, it's called GREED. And I'll say it once more, it's pathetic, and the sellers who do this should be upfront about it in their listings.
fab_finds4u
·3 years agoWhy do you say BULL to sellers using Amazon Fulfillment?
The seller is not buying the product from Amazon and having it sent as a gift purchase. That would be BULL and against policy if they did that.
Otherwise, using Amazon Fulfillment is perfectly legal and allowed by eBay. What does it matter who is driving the delivery truck? I wouldn't care if it was delivered by a truck I recognized or by a dude on a skate board or in a golf cart.
Someone probably stole your package after it was left. That is not the seller's fault nor is it the delivery driver's fault. As far as eBay is concerned the seller did their job when tracking shows delivered.
knitoneyarnover
·2 years agoBy low feedback scores, do you mean less than 100% seller rating? Or few items sold?
Unfortunately the way I discovered this **bleep**' Aqualine mess is that I bought something last Tuesday afternoon from a seller with a hundred percent positive seller rating, whose been selling on ebay about 2 years; yehhub3 is the seller.
I had ordered several things, so when I was at the office Sunday afternoon, I asked them if I have any packages. Nothing. No package delivery slip in my post box, nothing's arrived yet. Ok. So I get home and go to my eBay to check for estimated delivery times. The things I ordered on Monday all show shipped, not there yet. The item from yehhub3, a coffee filter, supposedly delivered Thursday. Indeed. So I try to check tracking info. Preposterous. Aqualine ships nothing and should not count as tracking info on eBay. They show no locations at any point in the process, only claim "Delivered" Thursday morning.
I messaged the seller. If I don't hear from them in a day or so, I'll have to try to make eBay refund me or tell my bank I've been scammed and please get my money back for me. But will I even be allowed to leave negative feedback, if the seller ignores me? How the heck does the person have a hundred percent positive seller rating if this kind of thing happens regularly? Or have they paid Amazon, legitimately believe they have sent me the item, and Amazon has lost it gd alone knows where?
In any case, this Aqualine train-wreck should not be allowed as proof of delivery on eBay. If someone is sending you junk from Amazon or Alibaba or whatever the crack, they should have to say so up front before you order. And that eBay is allowing this debacle is one more reason to shop local. If you can. I guess I'll have to look for a coffee filter in a restaurant supply store or something. Or maybe I'll check with E. Dehillerin online. They've been in business in France since long before anyone had ever dreamed of computer shopping. At least I can be sure they'll ship with something real, not this scammy Aqualine. And they're always good quality too.

·2 years agoI said whatever the frack. As fracking is a wretchedly destructive thing, frack is my printable cussword. Spell check in its infinite capacity to introduce error, decided I meant crack, not frack. Which, unless we're reading Tolkien and talking about Sauron's abysmal volcano, sounds possibly misogynistic, which I certainly didn't intend.

The seller is the entity that shipped the package. As such, they're the only one who can deal with the carrier. There are approximately 2 billion transactions per day on eBay. Surely you don't think they can monitor the shipping on each of those, particularly since they aren't actually doing the shipping on any of them.
