Amazon Sellers Using EBay
I was very disappointed that my recent purchase came from Amazon, a company I have boycotted for years. Apparently, from what I have read on this issue, Ebay just doesn't care.
In the future I will directly contact sellers to verify they are not selling me a product from Amazon.
At least Walmart tells the customer up front that the product will come from a third seller.

·8 months agoNot sure what your age is, or how long you have left here on earth, but if you're going to be here for quite some time to come, just about everything you buy in the future is probably going to be passed through Amazon at one time or another. Amazon is not building those massive Distribution Centers for nothing. (80 new ones planned in 2026 alone) My Bet, Kohls, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Office Depot, stores like that, majority of National Chain Restaurants, so on, are all going to supplied by an Amazon Distribution Center somewhere in the near future.
Amazon is part of your life whether you realize it or not.

That doesn't sound like Amazon sellers using eBay.
That sounds like eBay sellers using Amazon.

As others have noted, ebay sellers can warehouse their items with Amazon - the difference is when a seller lists an item they don't physically possess, sell the item, then purchase the item through Amazon.
Typically, the tell is whether or not a 'gift note' was included in the Amazon box. The note indicates a drop shipper.

·8 months agoThe gift note is usually a tell that the Ebay seller is somewhere else in the world other than the US, since Amazon does not normally include a packing slip or invoice in the package with an order. US dropshippers know that, natives of many other countries do not know that.

·8 months agoMost of these Ebay sellers who order on Amazon have a Prime account to get free shipping. Use of a Prime account to fulfill orders violates Amazon rules, if you report the Ebay seller to Amazon, they could lose their buyer account if there are other similar complaints.
FWIW, Walmart also is not a fan of these Ebay sellers who use them to dropship.

They care if sellers are using Prime to ship........

·8 months agoThe seller from Israel is dropshipping from Amazon, which is not allowed.
Most of the time you can see that in the sellers feedback.

·8 months agoIf the order came in Amazon packaging, the order was not sold to you by an Amazon seller who houses his merchandise at Amazon, it came from an Amazon seller who an Ebay seller used to drop ship.
Amazon sellers who use Amazon to fulfill orders on other sites use MCF, an Amazon service which ships in plain packaging.
Amazon sellers cannot order their own items which is what they would have to do to have it ship in Amazon packaging.
You probably overpaid for your product because you do not want to buy from Amazon and you got nothing for that extra money. You have every right to be angry. Show your displeasure in any way you feel necessary.

·8 months agoDid an Amazon driver actually deliver the package or did your item just come in an Amazon box. A lot of sellers reuse boxes. I do not use other company boxes to mail EBAY items but others don't care.

·8 months agoIt didn't necessarily COME FROM Amazon.
Could very well be It came from the Seller who warehouses their goods with Amazon, for faster, cleaner, easier logistics (especially if they ALSO sell on Amazon), and then Amazon 'ships it out' FOR that Seller.

I am the seller.
You buy something from me.
Why do you care where I get it from?
Why do I have to tell you where I get it from?
