Allstate Protection Plans or So-Called Protection Plans
Beware of purchasing the Allstate Protection plans as there are hidden details not published on ebay and it's refurbished listings. I puchased a Google Pixel 3 on 11-11-22 and I received a "free 1 year protection plan" with the purchase. This phone died, DEAD, on 1-3-23. The seller said I needed to contact the warranty provider, which I did today for about 30 minutes on-line chat. They can't do anything without the IMEI and said my provider would provide it. My provider was ebay and the seller n1wireless. The phone will not turn on, and of course, I cannot get an IMEI for them. The battery is not removeable so I cannot get into the back of the phone without damaging the back cover. Just be aware that if you buy a refurbished phone with their included warranty from Allstate, if you cannot record the IMEI, send it back unless you want to eat the price you paid through ebay.

OP3 years agoThanks and I see an IMEI but how do I know this is the IMEI for the phone that went dead? I have one other presently.

OP3 years agoThis IMEI shows first registered 12-4-22 this phone is a Pixel 3 and probably first registration was some time ago.

·3 years agoYour provider would be the phone service (ATT, Sprint, Verizon, etc.) not your seller or ebay. You only have 30 days from date of delivery for your MBG through ebay. If you paid with PayPal you can open a case through them to get your money back (180 days) or if you paid through CC or debit card check with them to see if you can still do a chargeback through them.
