Hi, does anyone know if eBay is currently experiencing any system issues with tax exemptions in the state of Florida?
I've tried to make purchases as usual, but it doesn't exempt me from taxes when I try to complete the transaction.

·7 months agoThe State of Florida is not one of those that does not have a state sales tax.
There are evidently, however, some freight forwarders in a specific location where buyers are exempt from paying state sales tax.
Are you using a freight forwarder in Florida? Seems odd because you are registered in the US so why would a US resident need to use a freight forwarder for purchases in the US?

Did you recently switch forwarders or update the shipping address? Sales tax is based on both the item and the zip code. Many freight forwarders in FL have a tax exempt status, but you need to use the correct address and zip code. If you're using the wrong zip code, one that's not tax exempt, then you'll be charged sales tax.
