A Seller overcharged me for an item plus the shipping
I have sent several emails via EBay to the seller and they are denying the overcharges, even though it's clear as day when you look at the summary of the sale. The order says 2 items - the summary says 4 items (I ordered 2 items), Then the shipping should have been $4.99 but they charged me $19.91 and they claim they only charged $4.99. Has anyone encountered this and what did you do to resolve it?

·7 months agoHow much were you charged total? I'm not understanding if you the refund amount under the items are from them or what you think you should be refunded. I did the calculations based on tax rate here in Texas.
Item #1 $2.45 + $4.99 shipping = $7.44 + .61 tax = $10.50
item #2 $6.39 + $4.99shipping = $11.38 + .94 tax = $12.32
Total $22.82 (accounting if there should be one shipping charge) $17.83

·7 months agoThe item number meant we could see it to help determine. Those figures ($2.45 and $6.39) doubled do NOT add up to $20.52. I've tried all types of combos, and the $6.39 item was offered in multiple sizes)
But, you need to be talking with the seller about changing your order.
It's possible you had those items in your 'cart' and then looked again and bought/paid for everything in your cart
Also note, tax is NOT collected by the seller, ebay would refund you whatever tax is paid on the amount the seller refunds you, but again, you MUST contact them to get them to fix it. Nothing anyone here or ebay can do.

OP7 months agoI have been trying to black out pertinent information from the summary page with no success. So I took the information I see and transferred it to this format. I don't remember the last time I've been so frustrated.
