·5 months agoBTW, I am certain you've read and digested all the replies here by now and have acted accordingly before you lost money.
However, for future reference, on eBay "the last 4 digits" mean nothing. If/when you want help, you need to post the entire item number.
But I really hope you never need to ask this kind of a question again.

If you found this vehicle on another site and it was priced "too good to be true", usually saying it was because of going through a divorce, spouse being deployed, or other excuse, and said eBay would handle all the details, it is a SCAM.
I sincerely hope that you have not already given this person any gift cards or other form of untraceable payment. If so, you will never see that money again. There is nothing that anyone can do.

As everyone has already stated, we believe you've found a scam listing... FYI, posting the Last 4 digits of an alledged ebay item number tells us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. If you found the listing anywhere else but ebay, it's a TOTAL SCAM.

·5 months agoEbay does not handle sales from other websites nor do vehicle sales from other websites "go through" Ebay.

·5 months agoeBay never assists in sales or payments of items listed on other sites. It must be listed on eBay to be an eBay sale. There is no other way. If your told to buy or pay with gift cards, that is a SCAM. eBay will never tell anyone to do that.
If you found it on another site and were told they would use eBay to handle the sale, that is a LIAR and a thief.
It sounds like your dealing with a scammer. Come back here and give more info so we can help. Do not pay or give out gift card numbers until we check.

Unless you got the order number by going through a listing you found on the eBay site it's a scam. If you found this car on any other site and they told you eBay was handling the sale it's a scam. If they asked you to pay with gift cards or bitcoin it's a scam. That's not how eBay works. Hopefully you came here before you're out any money.
