1 year guarantee FRAUD..
Sellers post a picture of what they are selling and in the picture it is stated "1 year warranty". It is FRAUD.. after the feedback time all a seller needs to do is 'ignore' you. There is no method to correct a purchased item of poor manufacturing through eBay.

·2 years agoWarranties are covered by Manufacturers and NOT retailers. Same with any item sold in a B&M Store. Walmart- 90 days, after that- it's on the Manufacturer if they offer a 'longer' warranty.

·2 years agoMost items purchased on eBay or any flea-market for that matter, have no warranty. You do get limited coverage from eBay and paypal but it does not last a year.

OP2 years agoThe point is not getting anything from eBay or PayPal on warranty, the point is once the seller ingnores a buyers contacts, there is a dead end. A warranty statement is meaningless yet it is allowed to be posted in a picture. There is no feedback into the system to differentiate a warranty issue, since feedback is shutdown after 30 days. Even though the ad can issue a warranty statement the issue is moot via eBay and is therefore only a sales pitch. The main point here is 'warranty' in a picture.

·2 years agoDid you buy the product and you contacted the seller for warranty and they ignored you? You do not say this happen you just insinuate that it could happen to someone.
As for returns, eBay acts like many retailers and allows the buyer a 30 day return privilege if item is defective. Like many retailers that sell items with warrenties, after 30 days eBay does not help you and would expect you to go to the Manafacurer for the warranty. The flaw with this is that many sellers are not Authorized Manafacture Retailers that have authority to offer a warranty on behalf of the Manafacturer.
If a eBay seller is advertising a Warranty that the Manafacture will not honor then the seller is personally offering that warranty. If they do not honor the warranty and you paid with a Credit Card I think your Credit Card would reverse the payment if you advise them.

OP2 years agoOrdered, installed parts after 30 days and seller is ignoring my grievance. Part is not manufactured to spec therefore falls under warranty .. however the statement of warranty is meaningless.. will followup with PP.
You have 30 days from the day you receive the item to open an item not described case through eBays Money Back Guarantee. If that time has passed and you used PayPal to pay you have 180 days to open an item not as described case. If you paid by credit card you may have the same time frame. If to much time has passed there’s not much you can do.

OP2 years agoThank you! I forgot about the PayPal route and will see if I can apply pressure to have the part replaced.
First time running into this issue and it hit a nerve that there is no value to any warranty statement. Ignorant to think so.
again, thank you.
