Non-US owner of Wyoming Single-Member LLC cannot complete seller onboarding without SSN/ITIN
Summary: viphealt_0 is a citizen of Azerbaijan and the sole owner of a Wyoming single-member LLC. They are encountering issues with eBay's seller onboarding process, which requires the last four digits of an SSN or ITIN, information they do not have as a non-US resident. They are seeking advice on how to correctly complete the verification process without providing incorrect information.
Hello,
I am a citizen and resident of Azerbaijan and the 100% beneficial owner of a Wyoming single-member LLC.
My LLC is properly registered in Wyoming, has a valid EIN, and has a US business checking account with Mercury.
I am currently completing eBay seller onboarding as a Registered Business. I entered Azerbaijan as my nationality and legal residence. However, under the Primary Contact section, eBay still requires the last 4 digits of an SSN or ITIN.
I am not a US citizen or US resident, so I do not have an SSN or ITIN.
What is the correct way for a non-US owner of a US single-member LLC to complete this verification? Is there an alternative identity verification process for foreign beneficial owners?
I do not want to enter incorrect information in the SSN/ITIN field.
Thank you.

The beneficial owners of an LLC in the USA will have personal tax liability in the USA for the income they receive from the LLC. Because of that, all beneficial owners of USA-registered LLCs must have either an SSN or an ITIN.
An ITIN (individual tax ID number) is for people who are not eligible for an SSN, but who need to have a US tax ID number.
eBay sellers who do not live in the USA are supposed to register like this:

You don't need an SSN, ITIN or a USA LLC, for this.
