Exploring Niche Markets for Reselling

I think I am kind of selling in a niche market. I sell parts, etc for LED Signs, Scoreboard, Billboards, etc. I am retired now, and mostly was selling my excess inventory. But I have a good many friends in the sign business, and they let me salvage signs they have removed and replaced. I get a lot of good parts for resale. Many of the parts are no longer available from the manufactures. I have recently started adding some auto parts. I found a source to purchase them. I go to a local place that buys Amazon returns, Home Depot returns, etc. They have bins that you can dig thru to find something to sell. On Friday, they have $.50 day. I get a lot of things on Fridays. Most of the stuff I can sell for $50.00 or more. If it doesn't sell, I am only out $.50. I got bigger deals when they first opened. It is pretty busy now and a lot of stuff is gone on Fridays. On Saturdays, the start over with new stock. I think it is $12 for everything in the bins. There is everything you can think of. From food to clothes, etc.
I was in the electronic sign business for 50 years. I did big scoreboards and small scoreboards. I see that the leader is frpm Bradford. I installed all the time and temperature signs for Hamlin Bank & Trust including the one in Bradford. I have been in the area for quite awhile, so I don't know if the signs are still installed.
