Princess Diana Beanie Baby
I recently inherited a first edition Princess Diana Beanie Baby still in the packaging. It is the one from Oakbrook, Illinois. Despite my best efforts I cannot seem to determine if it is of any value. There seems to be one edition that is sought after and one that is not. Does anyone have advice or knowledge on this topic? Thank you to anyone who helps!

Beanie Babies was a scam operation, set up by the manufacturer Ty Warner, to hoodwink naive and gullible "investors" into believing that those little stuffed toys were "instant collectibles" and "rare."
Big reveal: They're not.
Ty Warner became a multi-millionaire by hoodwinking a huge segment of the American public.
Don't believe me? Check out this article from the History Channel --

·1 year agoI'm with @kensgiftshop , the 'rare' ones might fetch $10.00 on a good day, if the stars are aligned. The average Beanie baby will bring $.50 to $1.00. You can often stock up for less than that when the thrift store bins are full.

Looking at the solds, they are not bringing much.
