Very High BUY It Now Prices???
Summary: jla1988 observed a trend on eBay where sellers are listing items at significantly high prices with a "Best Offer" option. They mentioned a specific instance of a $300 print being listed for $1500 and questioned if this is a new strategy where sellers negotiate offers well below the asking price. They sought clarification on whether this approach is common nowadays.
I want to ask a question and I do not mean this to be a criticism of sellers. I used to sell a lot on eBay using the auction and starting low and letting it find its level. Lately I see people listing items for exorbitant prices and offering a "Best Offer" option. In one case there is $300 print at high retail listed for $1500. I see this a lot lately. Do sellers field offers--maybe well below their asking price--and then selling it? Is that the new strategy these days. Thanks.
