ZERO PHONE SUPPORT, NO SUPPORT WHEN SOMETHING GOES BAD
Summary: A participant expressed frustration with eBay's customer service, particularly with not being able to speak to a representative after their package was delivered to the wrong state. Despite being a long-term member, they feel neglected and criticized eBay's use of automated responses. eburtonlab suggested filing an "item not received" case and trying to contact eBay via Instagram. disneyshopper and comics-scifi-collectibles provided detailed steps to gather evidence and report the issue. The original poster emphasized their dissatisfaction with eBay's high fees and lack of effective customer support.

OP3 weeks agoMy address was correct.
Issued "item Not Received" claim.
I don't have INSTAGRAM ,or maybe I should try AOL?
I went through all proper channels.
The point is not the status of the package, but the MISERABLE WAY EBAY HAS CHOSEN NOT TO DEAL WITH THEIR LOYAL CUSTOMERS!!! THIS IS THE POINT.

Mentor3 weeks agoTake the tracking number down to your local carrier's office and have them check their GPS for where the package was delivered. If it was NOT addressed to you and your address, have the clerk state that on their letterhead. They don't need to state the name/address attached to the tracking number, just that it was not addressed to YOU.

Explain that the seller is using fake tracking numbers
Include these phrases:
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller use a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.

OP3 weeks agoI understand that, appreciate the advice, but that's Not the point of this. The point is Ebay's LACK of Customer Service and the Miserable AI Bot responses. Is this the reason why we are paying such HIGH fees with Ebay?!

Mentor3 weeks ago@vulcannomad1170 You most likely will need to file a chargeback with your payment method. Gather the following information to prove your false tracking scam claim.
If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the Post Office/shipper if they will put this in writing; it's helpful, but not always required. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps starting with 2 below:
FOR UPS:
You can usually find the weight and other details for UPS here:
https://www.ups.com/track?loc=en_US&requester=ST/
then click " Proof of Delivery"
The proof of delivery may have more details about the delivery site, and the weight. Screenshot that.
FOR FEDEX:
You can usually find the weight and other details for FedEx here:
https://www.fedex.com/en-us/tracking.html
Then click 'View More Details' to see the package weight. Screenshot that.
2) Then, report the seller using this process

Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"

Here's how to contact a general customer service agent:

3. Answer the chat bots question by stating what you need help with. Be brief, don't go into details.
4.Type AGENT ( you may have repeat steps 3 and 4)
5. Request a call back or live chat. (Note that the contact options vary depending on the topic and staffing availability)

If tracking shows delivery to a state other than the one in the order details, you should be able to win an "item not received" case easily. Try that rather than getting in touch with customer service.
If you need to contact someone from customer service, try reaching out to eBay via Instagram direct message.

OP3 weeks agoINSTAGRAM?! really? Well I'm a member of Ebay, NOT INSTAGRAM! I know Worse, other than another state, it was a PO BOX. I never had a problem getting hold of ebay in the past, say the last 25 years. These last 2 years like anything Else is going to $%#^!
