zero customer service, AI is no help
Summary: c-man46 shared their frustration about losing two items shipped via USPS from a seller, with the items getting lost in Utah and the reporting window on eBay closing. They expressed dissatisfaction with AI customer service agents. lady_madonna provided advice, suggesting that if the estimated delivery date hasn’t passed, a refund request could be filed through eBay. If it has passed, they recommended disputing the charge with the payment source.
I have a similar problem where I ordered 2 items from a seller, he shipped them but they got lost in Utah with USPS. I live in Alaska.
I wrote to the USPS customer service and I thought they were on it. But evidently they weren't.
Meanwhile, the reporting window has close (ebay tells me) and I can't access the links to explain that I haven't received my items, nor can I explain why.
Let me tell you one thing, AI agents are about to drive me bonkers. The idea that these things are useful is total #^&*(. I am at my wits end.

OP3 weeks agoThe purchase date was July 17, 2026. On july 24th it arrived in Utah (distribution center) and has stopped tracking after that. I live in Alaska so with the messed up USPS delivery we have now days, I just tried to be patient. So with no movement I contacted USPS (another ai agent) and I assumed they would give me an answer whether it was lost, on the way or returned to seller. Nothing developed.
After realizing the package (with 2 car windows) was not going to arrive to me, I went back to ebay to report "item not received". Then, I got this message: reporting window for this item is closed.
Try telling the above to an AI agent! Holay cow I about went bonkers. Now the seller is no help. He is telling me to talk to customer service who is also known as a AI agent.
Caaaaaarazzzzzzzyy.

Mentor3 weeks agoEbay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers is valid for 30 days from estimated date of delivery. What is the estimated date of delivery as shown in the Order Details in your Purchase History?
If that estimated date of delivery has NOT passed yet, you CAN file a refund request > https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/get-help-item-hasnt-arrived?id=4042
If the estimated date of delivery HAS passed, you cannot use Ebay's Money Back Guarantee. You will need to contact the funding source you used to pay for the item to dispute the charge.
