Your listing was removed: Counterfeit Item Policy - Any recourse?
I'm not an Ebay Pro seller, just list stuff from time to time as we use it, etc. I've sold my wife's purses before (including Louis Vuitton) and never had any problems. We have a purse (again LV) that my wife purchased used from Dillards under the "What Goes Around Comes Around" brand. Based on the research on that brand, they use their own authentication process and this should be a legit purse.
We haven't had any traction trying to sell it a few months ago and we just relisted it this morning only to immediately get the listing pulled and identified as a counterfeit. The email says not to reply but also gives no explanation as what feature or information caused them to flag it as counterfeit. It also says not to relist the item.
Our listing included pictures of the "What Goes Around Comes Around" labelling, the stamp, etc. All the things I've done previously to sell my wife's old stuff.
This is the first time we have sold a LV purse that we purchased second hand; any of the others we've previously sold have all been purchased direct through LV.
Anyone have any idea of a recent change of policy that has caused this and is there any way I can appeal this?

·3 years agoLV is very picky about what is sold useing their brand. This has been policy for a long time. There is really no appeal.

OP3 years agoAdmittedly this bag was not in the best condition so I guess maybe LV has "shoppers" that look for poor representations of their brand and just file a counterfeit claim to get them removed. Makes sense, but sort of defeats the purpose of what eBay is for if they are beholden to companies who want to control the market.
