Your Funds v. Paypal Glitch 04 20 2024
Today I received two orders. For the first one, early today, I purchased the label using my funds with no problem. For the second, I went through the same steps, and it pulled the funds from my PayPal account - linked to a bank account that had no funds in it, resulting in an overdraft fee of $35 on a $30 sale. In chat, I am being told there is no way to communicate my concerns directly to anyone at eBay.
Two questions:
1. Has anyone else had an issue with eBay switched from funds to paypal for a label purchase?
2. Does anyone have a way to directly contact eBay with concerns? OP2 years agoI am aware of that. The funds balance was over $50. The label was $4.47. I understand how this works. My points are (a) the system switched to PayPal for the latter transaction when it had pulled from funds for the earlier one - so I'm wondering if anyone else had issues today with this occurring, and (b) eBay isn't interested in hearing from the people from whom they make money.

Numerous Sellers have reported their default choice to pay for labels being switched. I have had that happen myself enough times now that before I pay for a label, I always check my payment source.
Ebay has a Feedback link on most pages, especially the shipping page. I would definitely use that link to tell them what happened.

Mentor2 years ago@danispixelplace eBay will pull from your back up method for selling costs if you don't have enough available funds. I recommend adding a credit card to your account.
Enter your backup payment method for selling costs here: https://ppcapp.ebay.com/myppc/wallet/list
AND Select Manage under the method you want to use then select Preferred for selling costs. I use a credit card.
