Fortunately, you have the option not to purchase from a Seller here on eBay.

Not sure what you mean about fees, as its usually the Seller's that get hit with those. Shipping is always a risk, as its a 3rd party handling the shipping. The Seller gives your purchase to one of a few shippers, and then its up to that shipper to get it delivered. So yeah, I can understand if you had some headaches with that, but I have had this even with other retailers, so that problem is not limited to eBay.

Blocking is a thing that some Sellers use to prevent Buyers that abuse eBay policies. And because of those abusers, it can affect accounts that aren't abusing the system. But its a means to help protect Sellers from fraud too.
