You can show ebay proof but it doesn't matter.
Summary: bb1418-7 discusses the issue of dishonest sellers mislabeling trading cards on eBay to appear more valuable. They express frustration with eBay's lack of response despite providing evidence. lady_madonna suggests filing a return request if the item doesn't match the description, but bb1418-7 points out the difficulty and ineffectiveness of this solution, citing past experiences with eBay dismissing their reports.
I sell trading cards. For those who don't know a lot about them I'll try and quickly explain. There's many variations of the same exact card , but the smallest difference could be worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars difference.. A lot of these dirtball sellers will label / title their card as the more expensive variation so when the buyer looks at the market value its wayyy more then the card thry are picturing. Example- the card in the picture is worth $4. But the title ( that they create) is the more expensive variation of that card ( when the buyer looks at the market value its worth $120) .. Me - as a buyer will point this out clearly to Ebay. Pictures , clearly take ebay step by step what's going on.... just for ebay to email me back saying they see nothing wrong with what the seller is doing. This has happened on multiple occasions.. the only conclusion I can come to is that ebay doesn't care because the criminal seller is making them a lot of money or they don't care. Either way it disgusts me

Mentor3 weeks agoEbay has never gotten in the middle of a he said / she said situation. They simply can't. Your resolution is simple as @lady_madonna stated for you. No matter what type of return policy the seller has, you are able to open a return request for the item not being as described and the seller either needs to accept and process that request by issuing you a return shipping label OR simply refunding you with no return required.
If the seller does not do that, after a few days, there will be a new button on the claim you filed which says you can ask Ebay to step in. If you request Ebay to step in, they will FORCE the seller to refund but you may not be required to return the item, that is Ebay's call to make.
This isn't a complicated process and is explained in the link previously supplied to you on this thread.

Mentor3 weeks agoIf you purchase one of the cards and when you receive it, it does not match description. you can file a Return Request for a full refund.

OP3 weeks agoI understand that but what happens is the seller will say " I didn't send that card" .. its just a huge process especially when you show ebay that its a bogus title and obvious scam. Ive probably showed ebay 12-15 of these and they shut me down every time saying " we see nothing wrong with this site " .... then they have the nerve to say " but always report fraud if you come across it" lol. I JUST DID!

Mentor3 weeks agoThe seller cannot deny the return request if you filed for the reason does not match description. It' not a "huge process".
