WRONG support for ebay
Summary: waterfall181 shared a problem with a buyer on eBay claiming they received the wrong item and accused them of a bait and switch. They are frustrated that eBay is withholding funds and feel the return policy is unfair. eastlaneave advised them to process the return, stating it's a necessary part of selling and suggested steps to block the buyer in the future.
I have a buyer who contacted eBay saying the card they received is NOT the one he ordered. Now ebay is withholding my funds.
I have 332 Positive Feedback Reviews after 13 years of selling. The Buyer Accused me of 'bait and switch' and said i tried cheating him
This card is a 2025 Bowman Chrome Cam Schlittler bcp-166 Mojo Refractor.
Buyer said to me in the email that the picture is not centered 55/45 and that the card will not Gem ?
I compared to my other Cam s. bcp-166 they are all the Exact same (it is the way Topps manufactured the card).
So now I have no money. no card and I have to pay for shipping if I want the card returned.
I called eBay and a buyer is allowed to return for any reason... NOT right.
If you have any input for me I would appreciate it. Thanks

I'm sorry that happened.
If the buyer claims the item is damaged or not as described, all sellers must accept returns.
Your no return policy only covers 'remorse' returns.
Send the buyer a return label
if the buyer doesn't return it, the hold on your funds will be released
if the buyer doesn't return it, the label will be canceled
Once the card is returned, review it and issue a refund to the buyer. (Don't refund before the card is returned).
Ignore the emotions of the buyer accusing you of sometime. Just process the return. It's part of selling.
Then block the buyer to prevent future purchases.
To Block that buyer from your account, add the user name here:
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerBlock
You can prevent future messages from a blocked member by selecting
"Don't allow blocked buyers to contact me" in Buyer Rules
Then scroll to the bottom and Save changes
