Wrong size item delivered - did not realize until 'too late for refund' -Grrrrr - what to do??

I bought a backpack for a foldable Oru Kayak. I asked the seller if it fit the 'Lake' model and was told 'yes'. Backpack arrives but I am traveling and did not attempt to use the backpack until the return window had closed. I was given the wrong information and have not been able to get any help from ebay or a response from the seller. I feel I was lied to and the item was misrepresented. How can I talk to a PERSON at ebay instead of going around in circles.with AI??? grrŕr

ebay's Money Back Guarantee expires 30 days after receipt of the item.

If it has been more than 30 days since receipt of the item, file a Returns Request with Paypal if that is how you paid. Paypal accepts cases within 180 days from the transaction. As a last resort, contact your credit card issuer if that is how you paid.

Ebay customer service will not be able to change the rules for you in regards to the 30 day money back guarantee for buyers.

Buyers are strongly encouraged to examine/test their purchases before the 30 day return window expires.
