Wrong shipping address
After I shipped out item, the next day the buyer stated that it was his old address on file. How am I protected by eBay. I believe he is a scammer.

Mentor2 years agoIf the item is delivered to the address on the payment, you are covered if the buyer files a not received claim. Do not try to redirect the package.
If the buyer is lucky, the current resident will refuse the package and you will get it back and can refund the buyer for the item price.
On the plus side - scammers rarely pay. It also happens a lot this time of year where an occasional buyer makes a purchase and has not updated his address.

Mentor2 years agoYour ebay seller protection will cover you since you shipped to the SHIP TO address attached to the payment. Buyers are required to keep their SHIP TO address up to date. Hopefully, the buyer can retrieve the package, or the people at that address will mark the package Return to Sender.
