Wrong sales tax amount charged due to Ebay's system.
I purchased a large ticket item that had a coupon, and that's the amount I paid, however Ebay's system charged me my tax rate on the price of the item before the coupon, and not on the actual price paid. That would be illegal. Especially if Ebay knows this is happening, and are keeping the extra funds.
Should I contact my States Attorney & department of Revenue?

You should contact your state dept of revenue and ask if they require sellers to apply tax to the pre discounted total. Many states have this requirement, especially when it is a general coupon.
