Wrong Return Address
Summary: brodsmcgack is facing an issue with a prepaid shipping label on eBay that displays an outdated return address. They have updated their address on eBay but were informed by customer support that the label cannot be canceled. They are seeking advice on how to handle the situation, worried about potential issues if the package is returned to the incorrect address.
I am new to selling on eBay and recently sold my first item. After I printed the prepaid shipping label, I noticed that the return address on the label is an old address that I no longer live at. I have already updated my address information on eBay, but the label still has the old address. I contacted eBay customer support, but I was told that I couldn't cancel the label because it was prepaid. I don't want to ship the item with the wrong return address and then have something go wrong, only for the package to be returned to an address where I no longer live. Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there a way to void/cancel the existing label and purchase a new one with the correct address, or is there another solution I'm missing? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mentor6 days agoGo to your address page and update as needed.

Note that when you create your first label after your address update you may still need to edit the Return Address on the create label page. The option is on the right side of the create label page. Click on EDIT below your "Ship from / Return to" address. Once changed it sticks till you change it again.
Also note: Item Location on the listing must be changed on the listing itself.
Cancel the label for a credit and create a new one.
