Wrong item shipped to buyer
Summary: jgboct55 mistakenly sent two packages with identical shipping labels. They contacted eBay, the post office, and both buyers, asking one to refuse the wrong package for return. However, they have not received a response from either buyer. krazzykats advises issuing a full refund to the affected buyer, relisting the item if it is returned, and notifying the buyer to repurchase if desired.
I sold two items to two different buyers. I accidentally printed one shipping label twice and put it on the two packages. I contacted eBay, I contacted the post office. I was advised to contact the buyer who was getting the two shipments and ask them to refuse the package that is not theirs. It is easily identifiable in a different colored envelope. Refuse the package and return it to me. No charge as long as it’s unopened. That was four days ago. No word from that buyer. I also contacted the buyer whose package has been misdirected and advised him that I am awaiting the return of the package and if he would prefer, I will refund him purchase price. I haven’t heard from him either. I don’t know what to do. Any advice?

Mentor1 month agoRefund the buyer the full amount including shipping. You made the mistake so your buyer should be made whole.
If you do get that item back, relist it and let that buyer know they can buy it again.
