Wrong bid increment
I recently won an auction with a bid of $131, but the 2nd place bid was $127. According to eBays chart the bid increment should have been only $2.50. Has anyone ever had this problem? And who do I contact? It's so difficult to actually find customer service. It's all AI.

Mentor1 year agoYou can no longer look at the chart since eBay is experimenting with bid increments. They have been doing a beta test with the increments and you have to live with whatever bid increments were assigned to your account.

I think a buyer entered a proxy max bid of $128.50. eBay’s proxy system then set your winning bid at their max plus the next increment (between $100–$199.99 the increment is $2.50), so $128.50 + $2.50 = $131.00
