wrong address so it was sent back what next?

Hello everyone need advice,

I offer free shipping and I had sent out an order 3 day priority mail padded envelope. Unfortunately the buyers address was wrong and its was sent back to me. do I have to pay for another label? how do I handle this? I would appreciate any help or advice possible.

Hi @bitts4every1 No, you don't have to pay for another label. Contact the buyer and ask if they want to cancel their purchase. If they want to cancel, send a refund minus the actual shipping cost you paid. Explain you've deducted that amount because USPS did their job so won't refund the shipping cost. The buyer's responsible for giving eBay an accurate shipping address.

If they still want the item, relist and message the buyer with the new item # right away. (But don't do this if they're unhappy and unfairly blaming you for their wrong address.)
