Wrong Address for Shipping

eBay had my old address and printed out my shipping label. It's much farther away and costs substantially more to ship. Is there any recourse in a case like this?

It's important that you correct all the shipping addresses for your account.

Addresses Settings

This includes Shipping address to receive items,

Return shipping address,

Ship From address

and payment pickup address if you use local pick up.

eBay cannot go in after the fact and fix something if you used the incorrect address. The seller and the buyer are responsible for using the correct addresses.

Are you the Buyer or the Seller?

If you are the Buyer, the shipping address can be verified at checkout. The Seller can only print a label with the exact address in the Order Details. If that Buyer's address is incorrect and if the package is returned to the Seller, they should issue a refund minus the original shipping.

If it was sent via USPS, it might be possible to do a Package Intercept. That is around $17.50 with no guarantees. If the Buyer provided the wrong address, they will need to pay to attempt an Intercept.

It's not sent yet and I'm the seller. I'm going to call eBay customer service and see if they can reprint a shipping label with my present address. I realized my mistake when I printed out the label. Hopefully they can change the cost. Thanks for your help.
