wrong address
After moving from Ga. to Fl I changed my address April 5 2023 and started receiving 22 of my purchases at the correct address. After receiving an email from eBay that my 23 order was paid for and had been shipped
I saw the purchase was sent to the old address. I contacted eBay about the error but they insisted I was at that address and had received the package. Nothing I have done has made them understand I had moved and submitted the new address. That through no fault of mine the seller had been given the old address. I have no idea why the seller was given the old address. When I checked my account to make sure it was showing the new address, it was. Then I get an email thanking me for updating my address when 22 previous orders were sent to that address. Even though I received an email verifing the purchase it is not in my purchase history. My husband and I started useing eBay back when it first started in 1995. I am 80.
Even when Amazon started we stayed loyal customers of Ebay. I can not understand why eBay refuses to acknowledge their mistake and refund the money. Since the purchase does not appear in my purchase history it's a good thing I have the email proving I did make the purchase and it was sent to the wrong address. My house was sold and purchased through realtors so I have no way to contact the current residents. Because the package was not returned I doubt very much they would admit receiving it.
Except for the email eBay has done a good job of covering it's ASSets !

Mentor1 year agoIf you do not see the item in your Purchase history, it sounds like you may have made the purchase as a Guest.
Guest purchases are separate from items you purchase while logged into your account.
Check your email for a message from ebay that includes the PASSCODE that was given to you. Log in with that email address and PASSCODE and you should be able to file a case for Item Not Received, or a Returns Request, as the case may be.
