Would like to sell a Marilyn Monroe postcard collection
Been collecting over 40 years
Wish to liquidate this collection
With know what money was invested in this collection, I am willing to take a significant loss
I have collected over 2,600 different cards displaying many photographs and a number of artist renditions
All cards are categorized based on distributors
Is E-bay the way to go or not?

It could be, but not right now. That is too precious a collection for it to be offered by an inexperienced newbie. You'll get skinned. I recommend that you start selling inexpensive items, to learn the ropes. Maybe a hundred of them. And I wish you good luck, eventually, if/when you do list the collection. I loved Marilyn, too.
