worst online experience of my life
Summary: petercedar expressed frustration over not receiving funds from an item sold for $275, feeling that eBay's fees and holds have unfairly consumed the proceeds. Other participants, including krazzykats and lady_madonna, suggested checking payment methods and the possibility of a hold due to new seller status, which can delay payouts for up to 31 days. mudshark61369 advised using eBay's official contact methods for reliable assistance, while mr_lincoln reminded petercedar of a previous sale and reiterated the hold policy for new sellers. The discussion focused on understanding eBay's payment processes and navigating customer service efficiently.
ok i sold an item for 275 dollars. its the only item i sold so why am i being charged for items that arent being sold. they trying to tell me ive got no available funds and that the fees totally ate up all my money. this is rediculous and i want my 233 dollars. ebay thinks i just wanted to give away the item i DID sale and not get ANY OF THE MONEY?! im ready to go to the BBB and all the other big company review sites and tell everybody how unfair and dishonest of a company ebay is. ive been lied to and been robbed of my hard earned money because obviously they dont follow their own policy and think my problem is funny. there has been a huge mistake on their part and ive waited patiently for almost a month now to get paid and still NOTHING! what can i do

Actually, you sold something back on June 30th for $ 125 too, did you get paid for that item???? It was the Trek marlin 6 mountain bike frame.
Go to y our Orders file and click the View order details. On the right side of the page will be the breakdown of what the Buyer paid you and what all of your fees were. We have no account access and can't see if you used Promotions or some Sale choice that would have reduced your Payout.
You account was opened on June 2 this year and as @lady_madonna
mentioned you are a new Seller and your funds will be on hold fo rup to 31 days. That is normal. You also have nothing else for sale.

Mentor3 weeks ago@petercedar ,
"they trying to tell me ive got no available funds and that the fees totally ate up all my money".
Who was "THEY"? If you mean ebay's customer service reps, how did you contact them? If you looked up a phone number online, you never spoke to anyone connected with ebay, since they haven't had a direct C.S. phone number since 2020.
The only way to speak to an ebay C.S. rep is to use the Contact Us button under the Help & Contact header at the bottom of any ebay page and request a call back. Even then, the reps you reach work for a 3rd party call/chat center whose reps reply according to what they see in the play book they are given, which is weighted more towards buying issues than selling ones.
If you have issues or questions in the future coming to these boards is the best way to get answers from experienced sellers and buyers who know ebay's policies and can direct you to them as lady_madonna did.

Your item sold on Aug. 30th.
Since you are a new seller, Ebay can place a temporary hold on your payouts for up to 31 days.
For more information about payout holds, you can go here > https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816&st=
To check the status of your funds:
Log in to your eBay account and open the Seller Hub.
Click on the Payments tab.
Look at the Summary section to view your fund categories:
Available: Money that has cleared and is ready to be paid out or has been scheduled.
Processing: Funds currently moving through the payout system.
On hold: Funds delayed due to delivery confirmation, new seller restrictions, or account verification.

Mentor3 weeks agoI’d double-check my payment methods. Without a bank account linked to your account, there’s no way for money to be paid out to you.
