Worst app to deal with purchased items !
Summary: gkcfg_2 expresses frustration with eBay over a transaction where the seller did not provide a tracking number and the listing was removed for a violation. They are upset about having to wait until a specified date for a refund and describe the system as ineffective, suggesting eBay profits unfairly from holding customers' money. rfmtm advises checking if the item was shipped and contacting the seller. lady_madonna explains the refund process and reassures that the money will be returned once processed. Despite this, gkcfg_2 remains dissatisfied, arguing the system is akin to a scam.
I recently purchase an item , seller never provide the tracking number , today I found out the listing is removed for a violation ,now eBay is saying the I have to wait until the 29 to ask for my money back , even when the violation is there , I got screen shot n this , try calling they said they are there to help , help who ? Is a dumb ai poor system the can even transfer you to a human , should I call my bank ask to refund the money , and let them deal with the dumb eBay or should I start buying on Amazon ? Instead of trash eBay !!!

Mentor3 weeks agoAccording to Ebay's Money Back Guarantee, you will need to wait until the latest estimated date of delivery has passed before you can file a Refund Request/Item Not Received.
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
· Select “More actions” beside your item and then “I didn't receive it.”
· Click the box beside I want a refund.
· Select Send request.
If the seller does not respond to the refund request, after 3 business days you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.
· Find the item in your Purchase History
· Select See request details
· Select “Ask eBay to step in.”

Mentor3 weeks agoJust because the listing was removed and/or there was no tracking provided does not mean the seller didn't already ship the item. Did you try contacting the seller?

@gkcfg_2
You are mistaken. Ebay makes money from the sellers' fees, not from the buyers. You can go through the normal refund request process as explained above to receive your refund.

The money goes right back into your account as soon as your refund request has been processed.

Yes. According to eBay’s current Payments Terms, eBay may combine customer funds and invest them as permitted by applicable law. Any interest earned on those investments is retained by eBay; the seller/buyer does not receive that interest.
So if a payment is being held for several days, the money isn’t necessarily sitting untouched in a separate account. eBay’s terms explicitly allow investment of funds it receives on users’ behalf.
For me this is eBay scam !
