Wondering about 30-day money back guarantee

I purchased a modded video game console. The seller does not accept returns. However, the purchase doesnâ€™t match the sellerâ€™s description of, â€œIt's modded, so you can download any game for free ,and I'll show you how it's really easyâ€

The seller has been very nice in attempting to guide me through the process, but at the end of the day, nothing about this has been easy. Nothing is working how he says it should be, and I still donâ€™t have games loaded. He claims it all worked before he sent it.

Is this worth pursuing the money back guarantee option if he is reluctant? Or am I SOL?

No, you are not SOL. If the description didn't match, the seller's return policy doesn't matter. Go to your purchase history and click on return. You would choose that the description didn't match (or something to that effect). Attach your photo, follow the instructions. The seller has 3 business days to either refund or send you a pre-paid return postage label. If nothing is done, on the 4th day you can ask eBay to step in to force the refund.
