Won the auction but seller is not sending me my items ……. 5 weeks and counting
What are the repercussions for a seller that holds an auction but then refuses to ship the items to the winner of the said auction? What’s to stop or discourage a seller from refusing to ship and then ghosting the auction winner (perhaps waiting for a cancellation request from the buyer or a cancel from eBay so they can repost the items) because maybe they thought the auction did not turn out favorable for them?
Just some additional info…… I bought a lot of 25 Atari 2600 games, and an Atari 2600 console and an Atari game holder (16) closeable case. The games included some silver label games and also the M Network He-man and the masters of the universe. That one He-man game is valued more than the amount I paid for winning the auction which was $31.
2 weeks passed………. No update to shipping, I contacted and requested an update on the shipping. They said they would pack it up and ship it on the weekend. 2 weeks later…… no update to shipping yet and no response from the seller to my new message politely asking for an update. 1 week later, a 3rd message was sent requesting an update and once again no response. That’s where I’m at right now.
what are my options other than requesting a refund/ cancellation from the seller or from EBay directly, which is probably what they want???? I really want my items won and NOT a refund. Please give me some advice.

In order for you to not lose your money, you must file a Refund Request. No one can physically force the seller to ship the items to you.
Go to your Purchase History and click on Order Details next to the item title to see if the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed.
IF/WHEN the latest estimated date of delivery has already passed by at least 1 day, you have up to 30 days past estimated date of delivery to file a Refund Request:
Go to your My Ebay page >> Purchase history
If the seller does not respond after 3 business days, you can ask Ebay to step in to help you.

OP1 year agoThanks for the reply. It seems that getting a refund is playing in to the seller’s hands but that might be my only option at this point. It’s a shame that someone doesn’t have the integrity to ship the items from their auction to the winner. Thanks for the advice.

OP1 year agoBTW, I just looked and I don’t have an estimated delivery date yet because the seller hasn’t even created a shipping label and tracking number for the order.
